A RUSTLING TYPE OF NOISE DOES COME THROUGH THE SPEAKERS WHEN THE CARTRIDGE IS GENTLY TOUCHED. IT APPEARS THAT THERE IS NO STYLUS IN THE CARTRIDGE. THE TURNTABLE MOTOR IS RUNNING BUT THERE IS NO DRIVE BELT / IDLER WHEEL SO THIS WOULD NEED TO BE ADDED. THIS INDICATES THAT SOME, IF NOT ALL OF THE VALVES ARE OPERATIONAL. STEREOGRAM POWERS UP, INTERNAL LIGHTS COME ON, THERE IS SOUND FROM BOTH EXTERNAL SPEAKERS & BOTH OF THE INBUILT CABINET SPEAKERS. A MAKESHIFT GROOVE HAS BEEN MADE IN THE WOOD SO THAT THE DOOR CAN BE OPENED & CLOSED, BUT REPLACING THE HINGE WOULD BE RECOMMENDED. THE HINGE FOR THE DROP DOWN DOOR THAT COVERS THE RADIO HAS COME AWAY. THERE ARE VARIOUS MINOR SIGNS OF WEAR TO THE CABINET. SEPARATELY LISTED ARE A REEL OF TAPE AND A MICROPHONE FOR A REEL TO REEL PLAYER. THE UNIT INCLUDES A CONNECTOR FOR A REEL TO REEL MAGNETOPHON.
